Senior Electrical AutoCAD Design Engineer

Role Overview

Due to a combination of business growth and succession planning we are recruiting an electrical AutoCAD Engineer to support our Design Engineering team. This is a role will be responsible for delivering drawing packages produced from the AutoCAD Electrical software.
 

What you'll be doing:

  • Monitoring of AutoCAD resource and workload, reporting progress to department manager
  • Reviewing own and others work to ensure compliant design
  • Responsible for producing bespoke design or a combination of third-party equipment integrated within a bespoke design
  • Using the advanced features within the AutoCAD Electrical package produce: such as symbol builder
  • Development of standard templates and catalogue libraries

 

About You

You will play a key role working in collaboration with the engineering design and project teams to ensure customer requirements are met. We are looking for someone who:

  • Has an Electrical CAD Engineer/Draughter background in a similar role

  • Good understanding of circuit design (motor starter, variable speed drives, direct online safety circuits)

  • Understanding of the fundamental functions of AutoCAD Electrical (database, catalogues, new installation set up)

  • Looking for a varied role in a fast-paced environment
