New Employees

In the last few months the SCX Group has taken on three new members of staff.

Danny Mills has recently joined Street CraneXpress in the National Service Department. Danny has recently completed a Bsc (Hons) Business and I.T degree at Sheffield Hallam University and gained a 2:1 classification.

Danny completed the four year degree and for the third year of the course worked at Street CraneXpress on placement for one year. At the end of placement, Danny was offered a permanent position within Street CraneXpress after completing his final year at university.

Dave Thornley joins Street CraneXpress as a Design Engineer. Dave has previously completed a BSc (Hons) Integrated Technology degree from Hull University. Dave is also a member of the Institution of Incorporated Engineers (IIE).

Dave has worked for a number of engineering companies. Most recently Dave worked for FKI Logistex Limited in Lincolnshire, where Dave worked as a Design and Development Engineer. This role involved developing new standard products as well as developing existing products further. Prior to joining FKI Logistex Limited, Dave previously worked for Street CraneXpress as a Design Engineer, so Dave is experienced in the type of projects Street CraneXpress undertake.

Dave is experienced in a number of computer applications including Solidworks 2007, Pro-Engineering Wildfire 3.01, AutoCAD 2007 etc.

In September 2009 Duncan Randall joined Street CraneXpress in the external sales team for Crane & Hoist. Duncan joins us from Morris Material Handling, and will be focusing on developing new service contracts and business opportunities in the UK.

Duncan already has significant experience in this area, working within varying sales management roles. Duncan will subsequently strengthen our sales team.

With this investment in people, SCX are certainly looking to the future with the vision of continuing their current success.
