Logan Teleflex

Logan Teleflex

Street CraneXpress Ltd have replaced two crane gantry beams at Logan Teleflex’s site in Hull, ensuring their structural integrity and the safety of the site.

Logan Teleflex, who produce airport baggage handling systems, required the refurbishment of the gantry after their last thorough examination highlighted the need for repair. The gantry itself supports a 2Tonne underslung crane used in the manufacture of conveyor systems.

The gantries had deteriorated over time, but the fact that they had originally been poorly installed had accelerated this process. Deviations in their alignment had caused excessive wheel and track wear.

SCX manufactured and installed approximately 85m of under-slung crane gantry to replace the worn out structure. After calculating the exact dimensions and requirements, SCX were able to install and align the new gantries perfectly straight.

The original end stops were then installed onto the new gantries and positioned on the new tracks. To complete the work, SCX reinstalled the power-feed system onto the new tracks.
