Job Summary
To be responsible for the day to day management of all branches
Main Duties and Responsibilities

Provide support to Branch Managers in the effective running of their branch
-
Oversee daily operations of the business
-
Provide direction and guidance to employees in their assigned job duties
-
Develop and implement the business plan for profitability
-
Evaluate the effectiveness of the marketing program and recommend improvements
-
Develop strategies to improve customer and supplier relationships
-
Schedule regular team meetings to discuss business updates, issues and recommendations
-
Provide feedback on market requirements, competitor activity and market pricing
-
Ensure that employees follow company policies and procedures
-
Assist to identify business opportunities with new and existing customers
-
Actively increase sales opportunities for new, lapsed and existing customers
-
Ensure customer enquiries are dealt with promptly and professionally
-
Ensure that all branches have effective inspection and checking arrangements, as required by the Quality Management System
-
Drive sales and support the branches in achieving sales targets
-
Ensure CRM system is updated
-
Managerial responsibility for the Branch Managers including appraisal, performance management and discipline where required
-
Provide support to the Branch Managers in the management of employees where required, including recruitment, performance management and discipline.

Drive new product introductions and sales campaigns
-
Attend trade days, exhibitions, etc as required
Skills, Knowledge and Experience Required
Essential
-
Knowledge of electrical wholesale business and managing high profile customer accounts for both new and existing business
-
Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of wholesale and distribution
-
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
-
Experience in managing small teams of people, with experience in absence management, discipline and recruitment
-
A proven track record of exceeding sales targets and building strong customer relations
-
Be adaptable to change, flexible and able to work unsupervised using own initiative
-
Competent in Microsoft Office Suite
-
Full UK driving licence
Desirable
-
Experience of using Navision would be beneficial
