Bespoke Aircraft Carrier Crane System HMS Ark Royal, Invincible and Illustrious have all had a purpose built crane system installed comprising of four overhead travelling cranes fixed to the underside of the main deck. The system enables Royal Navy engineers to carry out maintenance on Harrier jets. |

Hospital Ship Lift SCX designed, manufactured, installed and commissioned a complete rack & pinion lift system for RFA Argus, a MoD Hospital Ship. Working to the dimensions of an existing lift shaft, the system had to accommodate a hospital bed and travel smoothly between three decks.

British Aerospace Turning Rig SCX designed and installed an automated handling tool manipulator resembling an inverted forklift. The equipment was required to handle blow-moulded titanium foreplanes, which are mounted before the main wing on the new Eurofighter.
