SCX installed an integrated mechanical handling system for British Aerospace Airbus at its Filton, Bristol site.
The system incorporates 8 travelling and 10 fixed overhead cranes each fitted with inter-connecting latches and infra-red anti-collision units linked to an emergency breaking mechanism.

The overall system provides a smooth, controllable and highly flexible mechanical handling solution enabling precision movement and handling of sensitive aircraft components during their pre-painting treatment phase of production.
