FallProtec SecuRope

Ceiling Orientation

A permanent lifeline for work at height, the SecuRope has a unique design incorporating specialist brake-pads to cushion the impact of a fall. This means that unlike other systems, there is no deformation of parts, meaning the brackets simply need to be re-set, and not replaced, should a fall occur.

The system is constructed from stainless steel wire rope, which integrates two different energy absorption devices. These devices significantly reduce the forces transmitted to the building structure, offering the following advantages:

Curved Section

Safety

The worker is protected from falls along the whole length of the line, and does not need to disconnect when passing between separate, adjacent anchoring sections.

The cable is continous from end to end and it is impossible to slacken the cable after installation.

The anchors do not deform and are able to support falls without the need for replacement. This is achieved via a unique brake-pad system where the cable support "slides" around the bracket. This process creates a braking force, so cushioning the impact of the fall.

Braking System

Reduction of the loading on the supporting structures:

The line is designed to support up to 4 persons, with a distance of up to 12 metres between two successive anchors.

Energy Absorption Device

Energy absorption is provided by the intermediate and end bracket assemblies.

The loads on the building structure are limited to between 10 and 15 kN, depending on the configuration of the line.

Minimal Maintenance:

Glider running over cable

The component parts are made out of stainless steel 316 L.

In the event of a fall, a cable retensioning is all that is required. No replacement of the brackets is necessary, due to their lack of deformation. The built in braking device takes all the loadings should a fall occur.

Aesthetics:

The line consists of only 3 individual castings. No un-aesthetic tensioners, plates, tubes or other components are required.

SecuRope on a Crane

Versatility:

The line can be installed on the ground, or to a wall or ceiling. The line can be mounted directly on the structure, to concrete or brick, to steel profiles or on a suitable support. The design of the system also makes it ideal for installation on a crane.

Speed of Installation:

A single continuous cable is used from one end to the other, and no specific component parts are needed for curved sections. The cable is held in place by intermediate anchors placed at both sides of a curved section.

Due to the simplicity of the system, and the minimal number of different components, the SecuRope can be installed in a fraction of the time it takes to install other leading lifeline brands.

FallProtec SecuRail

'SecuRail' now makes it possible to offer a lifeline system using a rigid rail, a solution which offers advantages where the architect is seeking the best integration into the architectural concept.

'SecuRail' is a rail anchor formed by an aluminium rail. This rail anchor has many advantages over other systems, including:

Securail

Minimal Maintenance

In the event of a fall, no replacement is required. The rail can be re-used immediately, subject to a visual inspection.

Aesthetics

The rail is very compact, 31 x 31 mm so as not to impose on the aesthetics of the building or structure. It can be anodized according to the colours available from the RAL table. Alternatively furnace-finished paint can be used.

SecuRail in a shaft

Versatility

The systems can accomodate up to 7 workers simultaneously.

As well as horizontal applications and inclines, the SecuRail is adaptable to ladders, buildings, pylons, shafts, roofs, tunnels and more.

Speed of Installation

The aluminium rail is delivered in various lengths and can be easily recut on site as needed. A lightweight anodised aluminium, the SecuRail offers maximium protection in the event of a fall, whilst at the same time reducing loadings on the supporting structure.
