In addition to a 2 monthly Preventative Maintenance program, Street CraneXpress Ltd provides CV Buchan with Total Maintenance Outsourcing: a complete Management support Service for their lifting equipment.

SCX have effectively taken ownership of all the lifting equipment at CV Buchan, and provide the equivalent of a contracted Crane Support Manager, coupled with a dedicated service engineer purely for the Cheshire site.
This gives them a much more involved crane management structure than they would have been able to provide internally.

The service provided to the concrete solutions company, who are part of Amec, covers all the site’s external and internal cranes, ranging from Full Goliath Cranes, Double and Single Girder Cranes, and Single Monorail Hoists, all serviced at week ends.

SCX began work with CV Buchan by undertaking a survey of all the lifting equipment on site. This included the testing and measurement of items such as lifts per hour, weight of loads carried, time on load, hours in service, idle time etc, with all the information then analysed with the assistance of Street Crane Company’s computer duty classification software, and presented to management to show exactly what is happening below the hook during a process day.

SCX were then able to use this information to develop a program for repairs, relevant upgrades, an ongoing maintenance and continuous improvement program, and of course, the dedicated service engineer for the site to undertake all necessary work.

This management support role, coupled with the highest levels of communication with the client, provides CV Buchan with absolute confidence in their lifting equipment and its maintenance support.
